This Blueberry Mocktail is bright and bubbly, but best of all it’s simple to make! Just muddle together blueberries, lemon juice, and mint leaves with a little bit of honey. Top it off with sparkling water and enjoy your beautiful magenta drink.

Serve your mocktail with a yummy blueberry dessert. You’ll love my Lemon Blueberry Cookies, Strawberry Blueberry Pie, Blueberry Blondies (cookie bars), or these Mini Blueberry Muffins.

If I’m making a mocktail, I want it to be quick, healthy, and flavorful. This Blueberry Mocktail checks all those boxes! It’s got the citrusy brightness of lemonade and the cool minty depth of a mojito.

You’ll also love how it doesn’t rely on sugary syrups, fake juices, or store-bought mixers. The fresh ingredients do all the heavy lifting, giving you real fruity flavor in every sip. It also doesn’t require making a syrup or using your blender. It’s just muddling and stirring, so simple right?!

If you like blueberries in drinks, I also have this Blueberry Iced Tea that is perfect for spring and summer hosting.

Blueberry Mocktail Ingredients

Here’s everything you will need to make this mocktail and a couple notes, so keep reading.

  • Fresh Blueberries: Don’t forget to wash these before you make your mocktail.
  • Fresh Mint Leaves: Again, don’t forget to wash them.
  • Sweetener: I use raw honey because I like how it tastes with the lemon and blueberry. You could also use maple syrup, light agave, simple syrup, blueberry simple syrup, or even blueberry preserves for more sweet blueberry flavor.
  • Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed is the best, but if you have to use bottled lemon juice I recommend a 100% juice like Santa Cruz Organic.
  • Sparkling Water: Feel free to use club soda, tonic water, or mineral water in its place.

How to Make a Blueberry Mocktail

Here’s a quick summary of the steps, so you can see how easy this is to make.

1. Muddle and Top It Off. In a glass, muddle together the fresh blueberries, mint leaves, honey, and lemon juice. Add ice to the glass and top it off with club soda.

2. Garnish and Sip. Give it a good mix and garnish with fresh blueberries, a sprig of mint, and a lemon slice. Sip away and enjoy!

Helpful Recipe Tips and Variations

Strain your mocktail. Some people find that the macerated blueberry and mint leaves is unpleasant to have in the final drink. If this is you, you can strain them out before adding the ice and club soda.

Add Non Alcoholic Spirits. This is completely optional and meant for those who want a more authentic mocktail experience. I recommend non alcoholic gin, rum, tequila, champagne, or a sweet rose wine with these flavors.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Can I use frozen blueberries instead of fresh?

Yes of course! They tend to be juicer and have more vibrancy than fresh blueberries too. Just look for organic, wild blueberries as those tend to be the sweetest frozen variety.

RECIPE NOTES

  • Frozen blueberries can be used in place of fresh. Opt for organic, wild blueberries, they are going to be the sweetest, juiciest, and most vibrant.
  • Optional non alcoholic spirits you can add. I recommend non alcoholic ginrumtequilachampagne, or a sweet rose wine with these flavors.
