Taco Snack Mix Ingredients

Here’s everything you will need to make this snack mix recipe and a few important notes too. Keep reading!

  • Pretzels: Feel free to use mini twists like I did. You can also use mini pretzel rods, or larger pretzels crushed down into bite sized pieces.
  • Cheddar Cheez Its
  • Corn Chex
  • Oyster Crackers
  • Unsalted Butter: Definitely do not swap this for salted butter, it will make your snack mix so salty.
  • Taco Seasoning: Feel free to use your favorite brand, I always use ones that’s reduced salt.
  • Sriracha Sauce: This is completely optional but the spicy heat is addicting.
  • Ground Cumin
  • Parsley Flakes
Ingredients you will need. Unsalted butter, taco seasoning, sriracha sauce, cumin, dried parsley, mini pretzels, corn chex, cheddar cheez its, and oyster crackers.

How to Make Taco Snack Mix

Here’s a quick summary of how to make this recipe.

1. MIX IT UP. In a very large bowl, mix together the pretzels, corn Chex, cheddar Cheez Its, and oyster crackers. In a measuring cup whisk together the melted butter, taco seasoning, sriracha sauce, and ground cumin. Pour that over the snacks and stir gentle until everything is well coated.

2. BAKE IT UNTIL GOLDEN. Pour the snack mix onto a baking sheet (or in an aluminum baking pan) and sprinkle with the parsley flakes. Bake until toasty and dried. Allow it to cool completely before serving.

Storing Leftover Snack Mix

This Taco Snack Mix can last a long time if it’s stored in a dry place and in an airtight container or gallon bag. Typically it’s best within a week or two, but if it’s stale that’s when you’ll want to throw it out.
