Ranch Snack Mix Ingredients

Here’s everything you will need to make this snack mix recipe and a few important notes too, so keep reading!

  • Pretzels: Feel free to use mini twists, rods, or whatever you have on hand.
  • Rice Cereal Squares: Better known as Chex. I prefer the rice ones in this recipe because they have a more mild flavor but you can always use corn Chex as well.
  • White Cheddar Cheese Crackers: Some call them Cheez Its. I do not recommend swapping these out unless you really have to.
  • Oyster Crackers: If you don’t have any you can add more of the other 3 ingredients in it’s place or use butter crackers like Ritz (broken into smaller pieces).
  • Unsalted Butter: I do not recommend swapping this for salted butter because it makes the snack mix overly salty.
  • Ranch Seasoning: Make sure it’s the powdered stuff in a packet.
  • Ground Mustard: If you don’t have any you can use a teaspoon of regular yellow mustard.
  • Parmesan Cheese: I use the stuff in a can because it’s easy, and it adds a nutty saltiness to the snack mix.
  • Parsley Flakes: This is used as a garnish and is completely optional.
Ingredients. Pretzels, white cheddar cheez its, rice squares cereal, oyster crackers, unsalted butter, ranch seasoning, ground mustard, parsley flakes, and unsalted butter.

Storing Snack Mixes

This Ranch Snack Mix can last a long time depending on the environment you live in and the humidity in your pantry.

It should always be stored in an airtight container or sealable gallon bag. Typically it is best within a week or two and when it’s stale, then it’s time to throw out.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Can I make my own ranch seasoning?

Yes you can, and it’s quite easy too. I recommend following The Pioneer Woman’s recipe and then using 2 – 2.5 tablespoons of the mixture.

Snack mix in a bowl, on a plate, and in a scoop with more scattered on the table.
