This Italian Amaretto Spritz Mocktail is sweet, bubbly, and so refreshing! With almond, a little orange juice, and dry champagne you’ll fall in love with this new take on a classic spritz.

A spritz is an Italian cocktail that has gained a lot of popularity in the U.S. over the past few years.

The classic version is an Aperol Spritz Mocktail, but this Amaretto Spritz Mocktail is even better and wildly underrated. It’s made for the people who love a good spritz but aren’t a fan of citrusy Aperol.

Amaretto is a sweet Italian liqueur. It has a distinct almond flavor that resembles cherry, but it’s also nutty and honeyed too. With added orange juice and dry champagne, it’s a perfectly balanced spritz.

For an unconventional recipe, try my Lavender Spritz (a mocktail of course).

Amaretto Spritz Mocktail Ingredients

This flavorful spritz is only 4 ingredients! Keep reading for notes on each ingredient and potential substitutions.

  • Non Alcoholic Amaretto: I use Lyre’s Amaretti. It’s rich in flavor and has the perfect almond flavor. To be honest, it is one of my favorite zero proof spirits of all time.
  • Orange Juice: Feel free to use freshly squeezed or bottled.
  • Non Alcoholic Champagne: You’ll want to use a dry brut for this recipe. Amaretto is already sweet in flavor so adding a sweet champagne like prosecco sends this over the edge.
  • Club Soda: What’s a spritz without a ton of bubbles?! If you don’t have club soda you can also use neutral flavored tonic water or mineral water.
  • Garnishes: I prefer to drink this spritz in the summer so I use a fresh cherry and sprig of thyme. In the winter use a cocktail cherry and orange slice.
  • OPTIONAL: For a level of complexity, try adding a few dashes of non alcoholic bitters. I recommend All the Bitter’s orange or New Orleans style for this mocktail (get 10% off with my code ENTIRELY10 – not sponsored).

You’ll also want to grab your favorite wine or brandy glasses (that’s what a spritz is typically served in).

Ingredients. Non alcoholic amaretto, non alcoholic champagne, orange juice, club soda, fresh cherry and sprig of thyme.

How to Make an Amaretto Spritz Mocktail

This recipe is so dang simple. Keep reading for the quick version, the recipe card below will have all the details.

1. Stir together the non alcoholic amaretto and orange juice in a glass. If you’re using non alcoholic bitters, you’ll want to add them here.

2. Fill the glass with ice and pour over the non alcoholic champagne and club soda.

3. Give it a stir and garnish with fresh cherry and sprig of thyme.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

What can I use in place of Lyre’s Amaretti?

If Lyre’s Amaretti is sold out, or you cannot buy or find it, I recommend using amaretto simple syrup in it’s place. You will want to use 1 to 2 ounces of it. Depending on the sweet level, you may need to add more non alcoholic champagne or club soda.
