This protein packed Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip is tangy, creamy, and delicious on everything! With only 3 ingredients, cottage cheese, ranch seasoning, and fresh herbs, you can have a guilt-free dip in under 5 minutes.

Serve it with fresh veggies, chicken wings, potato chips, or on a garden salad. Also highly recommend having it with a glass of my refreshing Pink Lemonade.

Last year I shared my Cottage Cheese Taco Dip, and you all became kind of obsessed with it. So, I thought it was time for me to create another one. Ranch was my very first thought, because who doesn’t like ranch?!

Just like the taco dip, this ranch dip checks all the boxes. You don’t have to heat up the oven on already hot days. You can serve it to family and friends or eat it all for yourself (without feeling bad). Plus like I said above, it’s loaded with protein, simple in ingredients, takes minutes to make, and you can use it just as you would ranch dressing.

On another note, don’t skip the fresh herbs! It really takes this dip from an artificial Ranch flavor to an authentic one. For more recipes with ranch seasoning, try my Ranch Snack Mix or Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders!

Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip Ingredients

This cottage cheese dip is 3 simple ingredients. Keep reading because I have a couple important notes for you.

  • Cottage Cheese: Full fat is the way to go, it’s creamier and doesn’t have the weird aftertaste.
  • Ranch Seasoning: Use your favorite brand or use homemade ranch seasoning. Yes, it’s the stuff that comes in a paper envelope (like taco or chili seasoning).
  • Fresh Herbs: These give your dip a more authentic, rather than artificial, ranch flavor. We will use fresh dill and parsley because that is what I typically put in my homemade ranch.

How to Make Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip

This one is real easy, you’re going to love it! Just don’t forget to grab a food processor, and keep your cottage cheese container (it is the perfect storage container for this dip).

1. BLEND TOGETHER the cottage cheese, ranch seasoning, fresh parsley, and fresh dill, until combined.

2. SERVE. Pour into a bowl and top with more fresh herbs. Pair it with your favorite dippers or use it as you would use ranch dip. I’ve included ideas in the next section.

It’s More Than A Dip

This Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip is truly more than a dip. It goes with virtually anything you would serve ranch dressing with. Immediately I think of fresh vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, celery, and even some good whole wheat crackers.

But, it would also be a great dip for potato chips, pizza, fries, chicken nuggets, Oven Baked Chicken Wings, or my Lemon Dill Potatoes. It would also be fabulous on sandwiches, fresh garden salads, or really any type of salad (pasta or potato). The possibilities are endless!

Storage Information

Because this is a dairy-based dip you will want to keep it cold and serve it cold. Any leftovers should be stored in an airtight container, like the cottage cheese container. It is best to eat your Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip within 7 days.

I do not recommend freezing or storing this dip at room temperature.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Can I use reduced fat cottage cheese instead of full fat?

Technically yes, but reduced fat cottage cheese does not result in the same luscious dip. It doesn’t blend together as well and there is an unpleasant texture and aftertaste too.

Do I have to add the fresh herbs?

It is not necessary, but I highly recommend adding the fresh herbs. The parsley and dill are added into homemade ranch dressing and I really feel it elevates this dip in a simple way. Without them the dip has that artificial Ranch flavor (in my opinion).
