Cranberry Pear Mimosa

Traditionally Mimosas consist of orange juice and champagne. But let’s be real, life is too short to only enjoy one type of Mimosa the rest of your life. This one is my favorite to date!

Why Should I Make My Own Cranberry Juice?

Cranberry juice is not only super simple to make, but it is also loaded with antioxidants, vitamin C, and salicylic acid. Making your own means no preservatives and no added junk. It also means you can control the level of sweet and tart to suite your taste-buds. Not to mention you can make your own for $3 versus a $7 bottle at the grocery store.

How Do I Make Cranberry Juice?

Like I said before, it is simple. All you need is fresh cranberries, water, and honey.

  1. Bring your cranberries and water to a boil.
  2. Simmer them for 20 minutes.
  3. Strain and add in your honey.
  4. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.

TIP: Because there is no preservatives in homemade cranberry juice it should be drank within two weeks.

Serving Up the BEST Cranberry Pear Mimosa

TIP: Make sure all the ingredients are chilled prior to serving (ice is a no-no for mimosas).

Into your champagne flute pour homemade cranberry juice and then pear juice. Top that with bubbly champagne. Plop in a few fresh cranberries for aesthetic and then a pair slice on top.

SERVING A CROWD: For reference, if you are using the entire bottle of cranberry juice, pear juice, and champagne it will serve about 10-12 people. I recommend making them ahead of time instead of allowing guests to make their own (you can control portions to ensure there is enough for everyone).

Options For A Cranberry Pear Mimosa Mocktail

If you are wanting to cater to your crowd you can easily turn this Mimosa into a mocktail. This makes it great for kids and those who cannot or do not drink alcohol.

Substitute the champagne for sparkling wine or an alcohol-free Prosecco. You can also use mineral water or tonic water to mimic the bubbly.
