Cardamom Simple Syrup
takes minutes to make and you only need three ingredients: green cardamom pods, granulated sugar, and water. It is a unique way to add complexity and spice to your favorite drinks.

Instructions
Lightly crush the green cardamom pods. I use a mortar and pestle but a rolling pin or the flat side of a knife will crush them as well.
To a small saucepan add the sugar, water, and crushed cardamom.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cook for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat, cover with a lid, and allow the Cardamom Simple Syrup cool to room temperature.
Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the cardamom pods from the syrup and pour into an airtight glass bottle or container.
Refrigerate for up to one month.

Storing Information:
Refrigerated in an airtight container or glass jar, up to one month.
Freeze into cubes and then in a plastic bag, up to a year.
