INGREDIENTS

unsalted butter; melted granular sugar 1 egg; room temperature vanilla extract all purpose flour baking soda cornstarch salt Dove candies granular sugar; FOR SUGAR COATING

Preheat oven to 350° F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick mat. In a large bowl whisk melted butter, and sugar. Whisk in egg and vanilla extract. Fold in the all purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.

STEP 1

Take a scoop of the dough (about 2-3 tablespoons) and flatten it into a round, thin, and flat disk. Add a piece of chocolate to the center.  Form the dough around the piece of chocolate to make a ball.

STEP 2

Roll in sugar and place on the prepared baking sheet. Press the dough down so it makes a thick disk shape. Continue until cookie dough is gone.  Bake for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown.
